Coverys Remains Committed to Protecting the Safety and Well-being of Our Employees, Insureds, and Business Associates

  COVID-19

Greetings:

COVID-19 has been a business as well as a personal disruption. It has changed healthcare and our world in every way. The ripple effect of this pandemic will be with us for a long time—maybe forever as healthcare professionals adjust and innovate while serving the public like never before—often while facing personal and financial hardship.

However, it will not take from us our compassion, our dedication, and our willingness to make a better future. At Coverys, we are committed to addressing and responding to the needs of our clients, our staff, our business associates, the healthcare heroes on the front lines, and those behind the scenes as well.

We are committed to supporting the healthcare community in new ways physically and emotionally as we strive to do our part during this pandemic. Following are some of the ways we are working to create a safer, stronger, united future in which we can once again thrive.

Supporting healthcare heroes with PPE, emotional support, daycare, and more.

Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation has put aside $500,000 to support national and local COVID-19 relief organizations selected by Coverys employees. These include:
  • Get Us PPE, a coalition working to get masks and other equipment to healthcare providers on the front lines.
  • Good360, which provides communities and groups in need with products for COVID-19 response and prevention.
  • YMCA of the USA, which is offering emergency child care at more than 940 locations across the country for families of medical personnel, essential employees, and first responders.
  • Off Their Plate and Frontline Foods, two organizations that are leveraging local restaurants impacted by shelter-in-place measures to provide meals for healthcare workers and first responders.
  • Good Grief Program at Boston Medical Center and the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare, groups committed to providing emotional support and resources for healthcare workers and their families.

Helping our agents, brokers, and defense counsel give more through matching gifts.

Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation set aside $500,000 to match individual donations, up to $1,000, made by agents/brokers and defense counsel who work with Coverys to organizations fighting the battle against COVID-19 or helping to provide supplies and support to respond to community needs resulting from this pandemic.

Supporting employees through involvement and donations.

  • Coverys Community Healthcare Foundation has funded $500 per employee that they can donate to a local, regional, or national COVID-19 charitable relief organization of their choice.
  • Employees are also encouraged to take one paid day off per week to volunteer in support of COVID-19 relief efforts.
